ok well i finly desided to put a few pic of my map in progross <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> its only my 2nt week of maping in my life but from what i hear so far its a good map ( its still in beta) the RR has a stargate that moves and every thing and in the hanger there is 3 death gliders from stargate =) if u want to see the map u cna go on my clan server at 69.93.79.4:27015

Yeah things are a lil too big. Also the textureing could use some work, things look a little out of whack in that area. Besides the some square rooms, you have a some good architectural ideas (if a bit simple). Keep it up, I hope to see you improve <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->.
You have the basic concept, and your use of textures i.e gridded floors does help the atmosphere.
The lighting could be spiced up, as it is a major factor in any map, but the red lit areas etc are a good start.
Keep it up.

<b>cas</b> - looks good for your second week.. I think the boys (and girls?) are right, the places are just way too big.. you have to watch your level over level stuff in NS..that hallway/corridor with red light could be a problem for the commander... other than that try to focus the lighting - rather than one big, all consuming, light - try and make it spots and so forth..more darkness and contrast..
all good tho..you are looking good for 2 weeks in..keep up the work..

Some suggestion(s) I havent seen by all the other good people their suggestions, but would make the map look better...

Here goes:
The walls are to flat at the moment try adding more (arhcitectural) detail to them and watch out with the repeating textures, since at the moment I see a lot of them.
Keep an eye on the texture type (ceiling, floor, wall etc). You're using
<i>floor-textures</i> on walls and <i>wall-textures</i> on the ceiling in some places <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Sometimes this can be done if done correclty, but they have to be used different then you are using them now. It strikes me a bit odd to see the textures like this.

I like the theme, but I do think that the texture use is off a bit and it's still looking a little blocky. The ships look pretty good though, same with the stargate.
Speaking of the stargate, you may want to thin out the rails a bit and take the ramp to the bottom of the blue area. Players should walk up the ramp and right into the stargate without having to jump.
