Dawn of the Dead was a very good movie, but it was more of an action movie with an unusual amount of blood and dead bodies that walked. Of course, most people view it as a horror movie, but I don't honestly think that there are any more good "horror" movies out there. People see worse horror than the movies every day anyways

I don't get why zombie movies can't play out like the zombie games! I don't really want a socio-economic satire, or a viewpoint on the cruelty of man, or some cheesy overly messy/gorey death fest. I want zombies lurching around, and the good guys killing them! And I don't want the NC-17 subject matter of Evil Dead either (I don't understand why so many movies feel sex and violence must be placed together in these movies).
Basically, I want Resident Evil 2 in a theater. But with better acting. Definitely better acting.

It would definitely gain some attention. People liked the game enough they made a (pathetic) movie for it, so it's got to have some sort of appeal.

And AllUrHive, I'm not watching the new Dawn of the Dead because of the nudity (and the forty "F" words). I don't want that nudity in movies, yet for some reason any movies above the PG-13 rating seemingly HAVE to have it. I really would like Hollywood to figure out that an R != B000bees!
I was all excited about the new movie too. Then I went to ScreenIt.com, and saw the ratings, and was totally bummed. What really annoys me are the regular reviewers who don't seem to care about such matters. Roger Ebert will prattle on and on about a movie's plot and the character dynamics, yet ignores the ten minute lewd love scene with full frontal nudity in the movie! Why is that?! Bugs me.
Anyway, off on a tangent. Here's my point: I'm passing up on both the Evil Dead series and the new Dawn of the Dead because of the nudity.

As Ive seen The Evil Dead Trilogy countless upon countless times, Ill throw in my bits about its nudity
If you wanna get REAL technical, theres 2 breast scenes, 1 where the *evil force* is going around the house from window to window and looks thru the window of 1 of the couples. Girlfriend is changing and you see her topless, first breast scene.
2nd is when Ash's sister goes out into the wood's to see who was calling her, now, you see her breasts for...about 5 seconds max, and its pretty much a closeup. Then the tree rape scene was kinda in detail as the vines/branches begin crawling up her legs to remove her panties, then spread her legs, its actually kinda funny the way her legs get spread. Kinda like slowly opening a creeky door *Creeeeeeeeeeek* then BAM, wild oats sowed(pun intended). If you watch the movie enough, you notice, for about a few seconds, shes actually somewhat enjoying it, believe it or not. Then she's out of there.
On to *How it all started*, whenever theres a movie I really like, I go to its website and see what it has about the movie (trailers, bio's,games,etc.). On the websites little attractions, they state it is some biological hazard/virus outbreak that has happened and is causing people to turn. So guess they went for the whole Resident Evil thing (kinda funny as, Resident Evil the game took ideas from The Dead series, now Dotd is taking an idea from RE)
But lets just forget that and say, this is a remake of the origianl Dotd, so we go with Notld's reason for the reanimation, which is a sattelite from mercury/venus that either passed over Earth or crashed(cant entirely remember), began sending radiation down to earth and thats what was causing the dead to rise. So perhaps thats what is causing all this. But really, we wont know until we can talk to the makers of the film.
*sigh* I still havent seen the film, I wanna see it with someone, I feel kinda pathetic seeing movies by myself, lol. Especially a zombie movie, which is meant to be seen with friends or members of the opposite sex.
On another note, Zombie movies pretty much are theyre own genre, despite where they are located in Blockbuster. As far as Im concerned, they are their own genre, Splatterfest's
Well hope I can see it, Im really interested to see the zombies in action. I have to admit, when I first saw the commercial for it, it just showed streets of zombies, so I thought it was the second RE movie, as at the end of the first, we see the main character alone in the streets.

Sounds like you want the Resident Evil movie, which had zombies lurching around with good guys killing them AND better acting than Resident Evil 2.

Lies. I want a movie that's actually like the games and good, not some piece of rubbish by a 2-bit director/scriptwriter.
No thank you... the movie released shouldn't bear the name Resident Evil.

Ok so seeing someone's head caved in, neck torn out and then bleeding out two pints of blood is ok, but seeing two breasts is the end of the world?
New's flash reason R movies have cussing and nudity is that's what makes it rated R, people on the ratings boards have their priorites mixed up if you ask me.
Rofl, just die already.

"oh gracious me, i do believe i am being set upon most ferociously by the living dead! oh! oh-oh-oh! my word, do cease and desist! i'll be needing my legs if i am to dance at the afternoon banquet (although it's a mystery to me why mathilda scheduled it so soon after tea)!"
Well I mean, like the Titanic.. you already know the ending. What fun is that?

Oh, and Mr Zombie, sir, would you be so kind as to tilt your head slightly as to allow my bullet greater access to your skull area? Oh so kind of you, thanks oh so much. [boom]
Trust me, we know. No amount of harmful dental surgery could help us with our Brit impressions.
ZU-ZU-ZU-ZING!
Oh it is real. Very much so. Although im not sure how likely there is for an American release. I guess so... It comes out here on April 9th.
