    I would but that would require the skinner to convert it taking an extra 2 clicks (depending on program used) and an extra (oh noes) 5 secs....

    That's a horrible, horrible unoptimized model. Shame on whoever made it!

    Seriously though, it's not the best but I hope it works. That was made back in the day before I learned how to use smoothing groups, and that you shouldn't put parts through each other (harder to skin).

    Thanks for meshing!

    Bits that go through each other aren't really important as they're bit that you can't see i think

    I was gonna change it but i was too lazy <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I'd just like to go on record and say this is the first entire skin I've attempted. Appearantly underneath the trigger has the same mesh part, thingy, as the handle, so it took on some of the texture.

    heh, I know photoshop pretty decently, so I figured out how to make the grip texture, I'll look for some bolter references and try to skin around that.

    appearantly all of em changed, the other texture I started messed up :/

    I'll work off the other one, if it's the view model, it should be no problem.

    EDIT: Little update on the old one.

    I have a question, when you have meshes and a .3ds or milkshape file and once you do the skin, how do you view it? like do you have to go into milkshape open the file and apply the .bmps or something? if so could somone tell me how in the world that's done? Sorry I am new <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I constantly save it as a PSD and import it onto the model in MS3D.
  • GLFattyTheGorgeGLFattyTheGorge Join Date: 2004-02-13 Member: 26511Members
    How do you import?
