and brand is?
I lost the driver to my sound card, and I'm looking to download it from the internet. Problem is I forgot the model and brand of my sound card.

Have you tried running the Belarc Advisor? It's a pretty good way to find out what's under the hood.

Download a Trial Version of a program called SySoftSandra (I think thats how it's spelt). It tells you practically everything about your pc, regarding model numbers, names and so forth.
You'll have to Google it i'm afriad as i'm on this slow-as-hell pc in my mate's store.
If the card has limited markings which make it difficult to identify, then remember to write down the numbers on the chipset (ie the biggest chip on the card). I had to do this to identify a modem recently.

Click the Sound Tab
I think Name, means the Company and Product ID might be the number, I'm not to sure about the Product ID, but Name I'm pretty sure of.
