Creating Groups

<div class="IPBDescription">Quick question</div> Apprently you can create groups by using CTRL and a number. I've been commanding for a while but not once have I managed to make a group. Ive got CTRL bound to slot 1 if anyone thinks this makes a difference. Any advice on the reason why I can't create groups?

    Its not bound to ctrl, its bound to your crouch key. What keys do you crouch with?

    hmm same here, bound crouch to mouse2 but hitting mouse2+num won't hotgroup the selected marines :/

    haven't tried, but i got a feeling you need to bind it to a keyboard button.

    Commandermode overrides your mouse binding as far as I know..

    But you need a key bound to "+duck" and keys bound to "slot1" through "slot5" in order to make squads. I do believe these need to be actual keys, rather then just mouse buttons.. I know for a fact that Mouse3, mouse4 and mouse5 do NOT work in commandermode for some reason. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Try taking the default commander keys, then putting them in a "commander.cfg" file.. then adding a line like "bind <underusedkeyhere> "exec commander.cfg"" to your regular cfg, and a "bind <sameunderusedkeyhere> "exec userconfig.cfg"" to your commander.cfg..

    Then when you comm, just hit the underused key, and you'll have commander defaults (qwerasdfzxcv for selection, cntrl for hotgroups, etc.), and hit it again if you get out of the chair.

    guess i will just "bind <underusedkey> +duck" .... one thing to ask though -> i bound 'snapshot' to 's' which is triggered in commandermode when i spawn ******loads of medpacks - BUT - this will not allways work <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Ahhh so simple. Mouse2 is bound to crouch, so I've set up an alternative crouch key, namely "L". So now I can create groups with L - #. Thankyou very much.
