  you need armor 2 to get to a HA or JP
  
  you need wepons 1 to get to a SG
  
  you need a SG to get a GL or HMG
  
  i think thats all

  For aliens, you can get any "trait" upgrade at any point (assuming you have xp points).
  
  You'll need to get the 1st ability upgrade before you get the 2nd.
  
  Lifeform tree is as follows:
  
  1. Gorge
  2. (split between Lerk and Fade)
  a. Lerk (1 point)
  b. Fade (2 points)
  3. Onos (you have to have Fade before getting Onos).

  Bah - thats rines - i am after a tech tree for Aliens.
  
  I have been playing on pubs and nto one can really explain to me why you need three of somthing ..
  
  I love to GORGE
  
  No one tells me what upgrade to go for first mc/dc/sc should i go for a second hive first ?

  The techtree for aliens in NS is simple.
  
  You can get anything assuming you have enough recources for it except:
  
  Only one type of upgrade chamber for each hive.
  
  Edit: Almost forgot, only one upgrade per type of upgrade per alien. So a skulk might take carapace but cant take regeneration as well.

  If you have a hive, you can build any upgrade chamber you want. But once you build that upgrade chamber you and the rest of the team may only build upgrade chambers of the same type until you get another hive, whereupon you get to choose a second type of upgrade chamber.
  
  Once any amount of defense chambers are up, you may choose between Carapace, Regeneration, and Redemption.
  - movement chambers; Celerity, Adrenaline, Silence.
  - sensory chambers; Cloaking, Scent of <s>wallhax</s> Fear, Focus.
  
  To be able to use Leap, Bilebomb, Umbra, Metabolize, or Stomp, you need to be the appropriate lifeform and have 2 hives. 3 hives for Xenocide, Web, Primal Scream, Acid Rocket and Charge.
  
  Resource chambers and offense chambers can be built any time as long as you have enough resources and at least 1 hive is alive. Although resource chambers can only be built on resource nodes.
  
  
  There are 3 levels of upgrades(like carapace or silence), and having 3 chambers of that type will give any alien who has chosen an upgrade of said type get level 3 upgrades.
  
  
  You can only have one upgrade of a type at any time, unlike combat. So if you get carapace you cant get regeneration. But you can get celerity, adrenaline, silence, cloaking, scent of fear, or focus.
  
  
  Any lifeform can be chosen at any time as long as you have enough resources to morph into it.
