It sort of does, because if you die you spawn in your cyclops.
-
I use the cyclop mainly for a big ass hauler. I do take it in lava zones on silent running but I try to not park it next to anything agressive because of the fact that its not in silent running when you load the save.
And nothing says 'spinnin… -
I close to never use the cameras. With or without lights, still poor visibility.
The best thing for movement thus far is the sonar.

Dont know. Havent experienced any increased lags due to plants.
Than again, its not like SN runs smooth atm
-
I think saving inside base on both autosave and manual save is the way to go.
Saving anywhere else should probably be removed.
Base = any powered base. One may argue the cyclops counts also as a save point. -
Although thankfully if you give them a good smack in the face, pretty much all of them will bugger off.
-
I just wish the visibility of the cyclops wasnt this abysmal.
That would make me really really happy.
Can barely see where you are going. -
HOW many tanks you use for wrecks?
Damn, just carry your seaglide. Yes its a big inventory space also but its fast. You can also ditch the flashlight.
It also makes it quite easy to adjust to this experimental change. -
I use a big base in safe shallows near a lava pit for the heat.
But I do see a chance to make a few outposts the further and deeper I go. I did in the very early builds of SN when stuff was less forgiving. (no biobeds to grow stuff) -
fun and sillyness aside.
The fix would be simple to make your fullness of food have deminishing returns on all.
Reset timers when you have eating other other samples of food. -
Cyclops is indeed sadly even less useful now.
Currently its only worth it if you need to haul a lot of cargo at once, or drag a prawn somewhere.
Depending on your state in the game the cyclops can dive deeper than the seamoth, and … -
The cyclops is a gimmick I rarely use.
I use it sometimes when its the sub which, currently for me, can dive the deepest.
But most often im just better of grabbing the seamoth.
The cyclops power usage is beyond madness, its v… -
Ever since NS1 I have detested any sort of bunnyhop. (And yes I did them, it was sort of required to even be able to gorge.)
Same for NS2 sadly.. I dont get this need for weird jump mechanics to gain speed, breaking my fingers to do it.

A problem with hive is that it only averages your hive score amoung the communities you play on. (So far I know)
So if you play on 1 server only like forever and get 2000, its not the same as someone who has 2000 playing on many servers.
… -
While some of the big servers out there are good on performance, there are plenty smaller community servers with server ops who dont really look into performance setup that well.
That said, Ive heard reports of server ops saying they saw odd p… -
Im on a 770GTX with a i7 970 @BloodyIron.
And I hit averages of over 100fps just fine. You sir, have a issue somewhere in your setup. -
Technically you can change all those rates right now.
Its just that many server ops did it horribly horribly wrong in the past.
Or picked rates their server can not remotely maintain.
Or lowered interp on a server running inter-con… -
The game can run like butter just fine.
I aint saying this is true for all, and im also not convinced its totally just a hardware issue. Ive seen great hardware run the game not great, and ive seen less great hardware running the game smooth a… -
Im sorry @Kouji_San .
I didnt came up with how it works, im just repeating.in How will NS2 run on Ryzen? Comment by DC_Darkling March 2017

Im gona slap you now. tickrate can be 30, its not important. Its almost just entities. You are thinking of the main loop.

Not wanting to derail this to much @Kouji_San so we can PM spam if need be, but I think you are overestimating the importance of tickrate in ns2 vs the 'not shown in…why is spark limited to tickrate?
You mean the meh entity tickrate which I cant care less about?
Or the main loop which for must servers right now runs on *checks* 130 to 160?
A main loop of 160 sounds plenty fast to me.
Yes. I can finally blame Ironhorse for real! today is a good day.
Mhuahaha.
Gratz on your new position man
Wait wut @Ironhorse ?
The only reason you do not use AO is for the input lag?
I am QUITE sure you were one of the folk ive complained about for hou…less so.
The overal skill has diminished so much that most players in field dont know how bad a commanders messed up.I never understood why we cant have all on the exo.. nono, hear me out.
You buy the exo. It comes with a weapon select for either welding, minigun, railgun, hell even melee for all I care.
You have a weapon switch time to balance i…im inclined to not care.
You can argue a lot of the sound in NS2, and I can think of many a story reason why it could work.
(But the main one is that nanites and bacteria are sort of everywhere.)
Yeh, it goes through walls, w…Its not odd at all.
marines run to RT, hopefully one builds are the rest move on.
