(Quote) Ah, but I think the Seatruck is the superior design. It's modular. Give it a module, about 3 times the size of the current ones, that can have Interior Modules added and it'll be approaching what the Cyclops is and still be smaller.

(Quote) I've also heard in the LR to as much as possible stay away from the green salt river, staying high to avoid the River Prowlers.
From what I've read, there's 3 "juvenile" Ghost Leviathans in the LR, 1 in each major arm. So the… -
(Quote) Because it's not just giving information at a little faster than the maximum difference perception but well well over it. The visual system is complex and does a lot of image smoothing and extrapolation, especially outside of the centre-…

As Experimental on PC is now 60566 and that's above 60529, this has released on Experimental.
Was thinking about getting back into Subnautica and starting a new game and this makes it all the more enjoyable. -
I use Marblemelon grown in Plant Pots as they're more convenient to place, along with some Chinese Potato and a Lantern Tree (last mostly for topping off water).

The Scanner Room takes some time to pick up resources and as @turtlefrog says it's got a max range. How many pages depends on how many items are detected at the mo…

Alas, the maps with the details are all now quite old, so they don't have the recent changes like the Crags biome. -
Well, considering the Cyclops fires and dive mechanics, it's not like either fire or breathing is the peak of realism in Subnautica.

In my last game right a couple weeks ago, the Jelly Shroom Caves were my main source of Shale and Magnetite. Close enough that a base with a Scanner Room (I set it to Shale) over top of them will be within range of most of them, so it's not too har…

I don't think our arguments are turning in circles.
(Quote) Well, Feynman wouldn't show up as the new guy, not experienced with something, find something good, but then try to say effectively to the game's developers (each with at least 2 suc… -
(Quote) Because opinions have consequences and often rules. As an example, in science, as famously stated by Richard Feynman, you have to have imagination in a straightjacket, as not everything or every combination is possible and you have to ta…

I'd mentioned the point in another post. However, I imagine there's more on 4546B (which is a very Stargate-sounding planet name, abbreviatedin SG1: One ION cannon isn't enough for plane-wide coverage Comment by Jacke January 2018

That's assuming the fire was burning the whole time. Maybe the fire just started and it's the heat and smoke that roused the player. -
(Quote) I think @Morph_Guy has it right; you're wanting Subnautica to be what it's not. And like others, you're glibly asking for features without considering th…

Well, as Jingles would say, let's just call him Dave.

You're getting your view of Subnautica back to front. Appreciate it for what it is before you start going on about how it should be. How about enjoying the creativity and uniqueness of this gem. Cool it with the negative waves, man!

I know that. I was being funny. Anakin doesn't like sand. At all. -

What? Does it have sand on it? -
Nothing strange about 20m/15m. I live at 51 degrees North latitude and near the summer solstice it's 16h/8h.

(Quote) I know enough about this not to second guess UWE here. I'm not even sure physical copies are now a significant source of sales, especially considering their much greater overhead costs. There's bound to be staff at UWE who have consider…

All this stuff about cards and badges is just completely confusing to me. I've had them show up for various Steam games but I have no idea how they work or what to do with them.

(Quote) Takes a small amount of more Titanium, but I find Plant Pots are better for Marblemelons; much more flexible in how they can be placed.

I think it applies to trademarks but not to patents. Especially as trademarks are indefinite in length if defended, but patents always have a limited life (problems are either issued too trivially or length of time too long). Th… -
Unless it's changed in the last week, there should be Magnetite in the Jelly Shroom caves.

(Quote) That's why I thought of a starting scene with the player character in their cabin watching videos and listening to recordings, then getting the alert and dashing through empty hallways to Lifepod 5. Still would require substantial work, …

Can you and others confirm this? (I may not be able to get into my game for the next few days.) At least check for the Reaper that should be living at the rear of the Aurora.

(Quote) 'Koosh' is a trademark for a toy. Don't know the full details behind what happened when the name change came about. However, we should respect this important matter for UWE and now only refer to it as the Bulb Zone, Bulb plants, etc.
