<div class="IPBDescription">hmmmm</div>Well, still iffy on the whole "Texas" thing but I live here now anyway. Just arrived in Plano last night (Dallas-area) to settle in for a new job at Gearbox... 2 days of 8+ hour driving with cats in the car is an experience I'll be glad to leave behind me.

Anyway, don't really have much to say beyond that, but figure there might be some people here interested to know of the change. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

gotta go claim ze apartment here in an hour or two... whee!

    Elaborate on these cats. I assume they were boxed up. I also assume they were very unhappy about this. Generally, giving them a mild sedative is a wise choice. Vets can usually give you advice about what to give them and the suggested dosage.

    Well, you got me. It was actually pretty uneventful. One of them was unhappy for the first couple hours of the trip from Madison to Nebraska, but after I let that one out to try and get him to eat, drink, and/or use the litter box, they were both fine non-stop the rest of the way. They were cooped up in my parents' downstairs bathroom overnight, which sucked, but then yesterday it was the <i>other</i> one that would act up. I did the same thing where I let him out and tried the food, water, and litter... again, nothing. That was in Salina, KS, and I was able to make it the rest of the way non-stop though I thought a couple times I was going to have to from the mewing - of course, right before I could pull off the interstate he'd have fallen asleep. Go figure.

    Stayed at a friends' here last night, where they got to run around in the bedroom that I was in... this went much better, and they were happily eating, drinking, and cuddling. Yay. Short drive in a little while to go get the apartment but after that they'll be free to run around and all that in a much bigger space.

    3 of my cats cry the entire time they go on any car trip. One of them has a cry that is piercing. Our 4th cat just drools like crazy on car trips. XD
