<div class="IPBDescription">Knowledge for the new brood...</div> Kharaa, we have fought valiently, and despite the meat-things' effortsss, we have expanded and claimed land rightfully oursss. Through our early trialsss and tribulations, we have emerged stronger, more ssskilled, superior natural beingsss. The meat-thingsss, now greatly weakened by our rapid expansion, have losssst battle after battle due to their incompence under strained resssources. But as we emerged from lossss stronger and more knowledgeable to the basic tacticssss of the meat-thingssss and the lay-outs of their vesssals, so have the meat-thingsss grown more strong and sssmart due to their losses. We cannot fall into the same trap asssss the meat-things, children, or else we may be denied the land that is rightfully ourssss! Listen well, brood of the Kharaa, and you will be taught some little-used strategiesss that will help you to defeat the meat-thing menace.
Skulksss, you are the ultimate offense against an ill-defended intruder. But witttth their metal spit, stealth is a must! A meat-thingsss' strange flying debrisss can kill any skulk from a distance, no matter how fasst or dexterious he is. You have been given the ability to defy gravity for a reason, skulks: to prepare ambushes againssst the meat-things! Should you be noticed, do not simply run in a ssstraight line like a lowly babbler! The meat-things, while having powerful weaponsss, lack aim when under duressss. Zig-zag constantly, walk on wallsss than jump back onto the ground again; never let the meat-thingsss predict what you will do next, or perisssh!
Also, my ssscouts, don't forget of your second basic ability: parasite! Due to the meat-thingsss strange technology, we cannot sense all that is in their vessalsss and bases. Should you find meat-thing esstablishments, parasite before you attack; this way, your siblingsss will all know where the warm-blooded scum isss! Do not underesstimate the power of parasite - using it can bring unexpected reinforcements from your brothersss and sistersss.
Gorgess, remember that if the more of you exissst in a battle, the weaker the flow of resourcesss! Negotiate with the rest of the brood and elect certain siblings to your breed; NEVER let too many Kharaa become Gorges or rissk defeat!
The mineral sitess are rich in substance, but do not claim one unless you and your siblingss are willing and ready to defend it! A resource node dessstoryed before it repays it's creditsss in sludge-extraction is useless to the hive! Claim resource nodes in the same general area of a battlezone, then use strategically placed offenssive turrets to defend them all!
Ssspeaking of offensive turrets, my children: do not simply think of these as defensive toolssss! They are called "offensive" for a reason! Do not only place offensive turrets near hivesss, but also in strategic junctions; use them as forward basess that close off paths for the meat-things while pushing forward our victory! And never, EVER underestimate the power of the defensssive turret. When building offensssive turret clusters, be sure to build 5-7 defensive turrets behind them; with such a high number, any damage done by the meat-thingsss is almost instantly healed! In one battle I have witnessed, I saw a offensive turret cluster, backed up by 7 defensive turrets, resissst 3 wall-piercing fire-bomb launchers as well as the supporting infantry! And don't forget the usefullness of other towerss...the movement chamber is a good addition to any offensive tower clusster; and will allow you and your brethren to quickly respond to sneak hive offensivesss! Sensory towers, too, allow all my children to know of a looming threat well before it strikesss.
Lerks, you are a support classs! Never forget of you umbra cloud ability; along with a Fade, this ability can mean death for many a marine base! Your fasssst flight makess yout he ultimate hit-and-run Kharaa; quickly fly into a marine base, umbra the area around your target for good measure, attack, then fly away before the meat-thingssss can even respond! This will let you escape from many a bad situation, as well as bipass any stationary metal defendersss the humanss set up and instead, attack the thing that supplies them power! Your acid rocketsss are the perfect offense against a meat-thing decked out in protective metal - hit it a few dozen times with your acid rocket, then blink in for the kill!

As the meat-things' become more and more lethal over time, these evolutionary upgrades may be the only way you can effectively combat them! They are cheap and effective; never forget to evolve them onccce they become available to you!
