I am not one to post news everyone has seen, but this one actually made me laugh enough that I wanted to make sure you all saw it:
<a href="http://images.apple.com/movies/us/apple/getamac/apple-getamac-security_848x496.mov" target="_blank">http://images.apple.com/movies/us/apple/ge...ity_848x496.mov</a>
Now, go ahead and derail this thread so I can lock it soon... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

Anyway, I haven't used Vista, but I'm guessing this is really overexagurated.
I'll put the penny on the rail and say... MACS SUCK! Kidding.

Insanely so. While that was definitely a problem on XP SP2's firewall, the Vista Firewall is pretty smart about it, according to every review I've seen.
I liked the ad, but I liked the Vista release Mac commercial more.
Time for the PC to hit back.

It does not make sense to me that ppl using pc gets to hang out with hot chicks...
oh wait...
I think he is hinting to all the new and good looking games and programs that comes to Vista...
ok, so 2/5 was funny.
but on a side note, yes vista does have a whole lot of cancel or allow messages. like a ridiculous amount. especially when trying to mess with the control panel stuff. it will ask you if you want to change this setting, then it will ask you if youre sure you want to click yes to the first question. so you try and do one thing and get 2, sometimes 3 confirmmessages.
and you get them a lot when youre just running normal programs too. but considering it takes half a second to click it, i dont really get bothered.
I found another one:

That was awsome

So am I the only one that realises that something that can only promote itself by slagging it's competitors is probably totally worthless?

Careful, you might provoke the cult of the penguin.
Well right click, Save Lin<u>k</u> As.. But here comes a new problem. I take it theres a video stream in this one? my QUAKtime can't see it (if there is video to be had at all <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />)
meh prolly need to update my Qtime anyway o.o"
Edit: Yes, those Mac commercials are pretty pointless as it does not talk much about anything. I haven't seen any windows commercials though.
i dont even have that pos installed, movies on quicktime format arent even worth watching.

VLC can play them... although I also have Quicktime installed, so it may just be using the codec. Does anyone know of a good Winamp plugin for .mov files? Or better yet, some incentives/plugins for me to switch over to VLC for all my media needs?

Besides buying a computer with the hardware already set up for you, I do not see the benefit of using a Mac for windows instead of using a PC for windows.
You guys should check out Quicktime Alternative. It installs the Quicktime filters, so that you can play MOVs in any media player that uses DirectShow filters. A quick googling should find it.

I'll take VLC over filters, actually I totally forgot that it also play .mov <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
