Web designer needed

I need someone who is good at making a website not look like crap. I'm a lot better at the coding side of things (LAMP) than I am at the design side of things (CSS/XHTML) as Olmy will testify to. I would like to find someone who would be willing to work with me to make the web side of some of my projects like the CMS I'm working on, not look so horribly plain (it looks even worse when I try to make it not plain). You wouldn't even be required to make everything in purple <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" /> Part of what you would be doing is testing the template system for my CMS which works with mostly CSS/XHTML and then a few tags which I have defined for custom content. I would like to have some kind of default templates made for both the public side and admin side. I guess it would work best if you posted your interest in here and maybe a link to some example work that you've done.

Could you give us a bit more information about the site / style or what it's going to be used for? I have experience with dreamweaver and such, Im just not totally sure what you are looking for.

I've written my own content management system. Right now it has the ability to create groups with different permissions and add users to groups. A user can be in multiple groups. The two modules I've written so far is a news posting module and a simple image gallery system though eventually I would like to add other modules and such. For the news posts, I'm using a bbcode type of system though I'm considering also writing a parser so that they can use a wiki syntax. My problem is that while I can write the functionality for the site fairly easily, I do very poorly with the design side and making it not painful to look at. If you have any specific questions I can answer them or I can PM you and set you up a test account to show you what you would be working on if you're interested.

I would help but i've got a lot of work to do midterms, essays etc.

Unless of course you're asking for graphics that fit your template - is that what you mean? Because that wouldn't take as much time as a full blown website.

e/ oh and I made the older jurassic-rage website, but it's been updated. The graphics and color scheme are still mine but they removed a lot of the graphics and just sortof made it minimalistic.

Consider me a very last resort I suppose. Even then it depends what you're asking for.
