Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.

The error returned was:
Sorry, the link that brought you to this page seems to be out of date or broken.

Am I the only having this ?

I was able to post there 3 days ago.

By the way, why isn't there a forum feedback section ?

I don't see any reason why you should not be able to. All the stuff on the admin side checks out. Try logging out and back in maybe? If not, come bug me on IRC (Comprox) or reply here.

Did you try more than once? I just had 4 people in the same member group make new topics and reply fine. Hopefully a one time bug?

    It is 00:36 Eastern Time

I just tried posting a new forum thread in the NS2 General Discussion and it still gives me the same error.

Have you tried things such as clearing cookies and clearing the cache and such?

I can honestly say, I can find *no* reason whatsoever on why you guys can't post. Everything checks out on our end of the deal. And it only seems to be a problem for a few select users (you guys). Like KFDM said, clear the cache, maybe try another browser. I really don't have an answer <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />

Even if I delete Everything in my internet cache, I still have the same problem.

    I tried with IE7 and Firefox 2.0

I've been using this forum since 2002 and never had this problem. I was able to post in the NS2 forum section before (last time was for dynamic infestation blog).

    AMD Athlon 3000
    2Gb memory
Windows XP Pro SP2 always updated
    200Gb free disk HD space
Internet security set to Medium-high (default)

    Ok, I'm seriously puzzled now.

I just did a dumb post in the NS2 forum section and it worked. So I tried posting my thread I've been wanting to do for days and it doesn't work. I know it sounds stupid, but could it be because of the content of my thread that somehow its giving this error <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="???" border="0" alt="confused-fix.gif" />? I used same options on both times but only the test post worked. What gives <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="???" border="0" alt="confused-fix.gif" />?

Mind if I ask you to write that post in a txt file (with notepad), exactly the way you would post it, and after that, upload it so I can try ? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

Please, include as many details as possible about that specific posting.

    Thank you, and sorry for the inconvenience <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

Here are some links as requested :

    <a href="http://pages.videotron.com/browser/Images4Forums/NS2-Forum_post-reply.jpg" target="_blank">http://pages.videotron.com/browser/Images4..._post-reply.jpg</a>
    <a href="http://pages.videotron.com/browser/Images4Forums/NS2-Forum_post.jpg" target="_blank">http://pages.videotron.com/browser/Images4...-Forum_post.jpg</a>

Other then that, all I can think of is all my Internet options but that would be kinda long to show and I would rather not do it in this forum.

And we have found our error:

The text you put in Topic Description box: "What is planned related to this in terms of effort/poly budget and such ?" is too long and causing the error. I believe the limit is 50 characters. Shorten it up and you should be able to post the rest as is.

Zoc is looking at getting the error fixed in the meantime. Thanks for finding it!

    What do I win ? ;-)

I think I accidently found another forum bug. I'll have to test it at home (I'm in the office now). It has something to do with the 58 min relogin protection procedure kicking in when it should not.
