i think a correct name will be "alien tracker" <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/nerd-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::nerdy::" border="0" alt="nerd-fix.gif" />
so the new motion tracker has the same cost, but only take as item and work like a REAL motion tracker.
If a alien dont move (rotating, moving, looking arround) so they dont see on the mt.

I mean a motion Tracker like this

You didn't explain much in your post. Why is the normal motion tracker not realistic, and what does the new motion tracker do?

The Motion Tracker in NS1 working all the time, and you see aliens with decal throw walls all the time...even if they move or not

The "new" Motion Tracker in NS2 is working like the AvP or in the aliens movies mt.
All 2 seconds it scan the room and show you ALL moving objects with a white point.

You hold the item like in the movie under this thread.

version hud:
So you have on your hud a small 180° Radar in the middle of your screen.

If they found an enemy they show a white point, then comes another sound after the search sound(not loud).
So its realistic and fair.

You only see aliens with the normal motion tracking if they are moving. Try playing marines when motion tracking is on and stare at the map. Sometimes, you'll see a dot disappear when it isn't moving.

Unless you're near the observatory. The observatory shows everything, moving or not.

no, im not moving and the marines see me.
So i want to test it and i see all static aliens.
i test it with a friend, he walk behind a wall and he dont move.
so i still see him.

Ok then, having a Motion Tracking item is still useless, because we already have scanner sweeps capable of doing that for free. Motion Tracking DOES NOT track you while standing still, I guarantee you. The only way you can still be seen is if the comm just did a scanner sweep or you're right next to an obs.

The marines would still see you if you weren't moving because they <i>recently</i> saw your dot on the map, and knew where you were hiding. They then were able to use their eyes to find you.
