Well, it's unfortunate that (years and years ago) producers discovered that shows just weren't 'funny enough' to the audience when they didn't know when to laugh (...ie, when a joke is over). Unfortunately for this show, some of them just don't seem to be set at a point when someone would really laugh at a joke.
Plus some of the funniest parts of 'live audience' laughter is when the actors need to sit there doing whatever they were doing/improvising until the audience let's them continue (...happened occasionally in Full House, and it just brings back the little picture bubble of Bob Saget grinning stupidly looking at another character waiting for his chance to say his next line).
Other than the fake laughter it's pretty good. It's got a lot of predictability at parts though, and the character spread is a bit short (...but then again, I've only seen the first episode, but 4 repeating characters is shoddy for such a sitcom.
Lol Abra. Sometimes those laughters are very useful because it's so difficult to find the "funny jokes"... Then we can easily know when we have to laugh without being ridiculous <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

Closed it about 5 seconds in when I heard the first fake laughter. Maybe I'll check it out later, but I can't think of one show I've ever enjoyed that used recorded laughing.

This show is rubbish. It's pretty much the same formula as other crap British comedies like "The Smoking Room" etc. Comparing it to 'The Office' is just wrong. It's more like the comedy show the BBC force Andy to make in Extras. ( When the Whistle Blows )
My friend has the whole series on DVD and we loved it. The intro for the show is awesome too... love the music, love the lil 'computer graphics' and all that. The show is good too :p

it was really enjoyable i thought, abit of a pisstake, quite a laugh about nerds, but, aimed at nerds, if that makes sense? like when there is a fire, and moss cant use the phone, so he emails the fire station..

It's not funny. The characters are way boring.
