I tried DoD:S on a guest pass, and I have to say, I wasn't impressed. I mean, the maps were very nice, but that was also kind of distracting. Not that they should make ugly maps, but thats just what I found. And they removed both the bayonnet and hitting the guy with the butt of your rifle. Thats like half the point of the Grenadier and Allied equivelant.

I own DoD:S (in fact, I played dod since .. forvever, it seems) and used to play religiously, but.. they really have to slow it down. It's almost painfully deathmatchy, with superfast sidestrafing 200m rifle headshots etc. They won't slow it down, though, so I probably won't ever play again. These days I want outright realism or outright sci-fi madness, not some lame in-between that could be easily corrected and then enjoyed by anyone with a brain.

Yea, if I don't give it to someone, it'll expire. <!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
You should see the guest past thread back then, 5-6 people offered DoD:S guest pass, all of them except one or two were unclaimed.

Guess no one wants to try DoD:S.
