Look, we all know there's just some crazy guy on the bomb squad who loves blowing stuff up. It's not like it's a secret or anything. He's watched too many action movies and he's looking for a piece of it himself, even if he has to destroy advertisements that are in cities all over the US without scaring anybody or traffic devices that the city itself actually paid for and put up. Sometimes, things just need to be detonated.

Boston will be damned if anyone is gonna monitor THEIR traffic.

Take heed, traffic watching people. Boston does not like your kind.

If it weren't for The Departed coming out this year, I'd have no reasons left to like the city of Boston.

Wonder what would happen if you combined this genius idea with the Boston bomb squad. A resonance cascade methinks.

I'd have so much fun just making stupid looking ish in Boston and just planting it all over the place. I'd put dry macaroni on one just to see if it got the explosive treatment.

    How ###### retarded is Boston?

The terrorists put the maccaroni on the bomb to fool us!

    But... it's only maccaroni!

That's what they want us to think!

So, just because a random box was chained to a parking sign that automatically means it is a bomb?

Next thing you know, they'll be blowing up random burger boxes or fast food bags because they were suspiciously near a crowded area like McDonalds in a Wal-Mart.

Let me put this bluntly. America (in particular Boston it seems) are hyped up and think they are so important that everyone is out to get them and are so insecure in theirselves. Clearly this all powerful nation, in particular in Boston, flees at the site of little electronic devices showing how manly and powerful they are. OMG A CARTOON CHARACTER ITS A BOMB!!!! OMG GREEN PLASTIC BOX RUN!!!!!

tl;dr - America is so powerful they run at the site of plastic objects on a daily basis.
  • eedioteediot Join Date: 2003-02-24 Member: 13903Members
That's putting it stupidly, not buntly.

The right one is: Before and after 9-11, the number one threat to america from foreign terrorists was aimed at your overseas troops for whatever country you decided to invade next. I.e invade algeria? Algerian terrorists attack your troops stationed in Algeria. There was never, and still is no, overseas threat to suburban america that requires cops to beat up potheads, pass out pamphlets telling people how terrorised they should feel, and blow up the remains of everybody's lunches. I know all of you commoners want to feel special and somehow connected with the workings of the American government, but your average ISLAMIC TERRIST doesn't give a damn about joe schmoe and his local mall in Florida. However, consider yourself encouraged to feel terrorised anyway, otherwise billions and billions of dollars would have been wasted on the attempt.

I still went to high school in 2001, I was wondering why everyone was getting all worked up; some of the students wanted to (and some of them did) go home. I'm all for avoiding school, but there is absolutely no reason for any sort of panic (which some of it was genuine). No one is going to bomb Wisconsin, so I have no idea what those people could possibly have been thinking. There's even a nuke plant within 70 miles of here, but there's still better things to bomb in just about every state. Heck, the only state lower on the list is probably Nevada or something, cause we already nuked half of it ourselves <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" /> .

Boston's just bat[expletive] crazy. And here's an idea: don't generalize an entire country (no matter how horrible its exported pop-media is). The entire country is running from my remote right now, because it's a little plastic box-shape (ZOMG, I can barely sit still, the panic just ...overwhelms me). Yes, you've hit it on the head. Ameria's weakness is plastic boxes - not a corrupt bureaucracy, fear-mongering media outlets, poor (yet hyper) work ethic, prescription drug reliance, litigation-happy legal system, or subpar lower education spending - it's plastic boxes.

America's weak spot is actually Florida. That thing's hanging by a thread. You could like, chop it off. Your average American might say the same thing about Maine, but they don't actually realize that there's a Canada attached to it.

No, Aqua Teen Hunger Force Mooninite LED panels don't qualify as acts of terrorism.

As for dates, Days->Months->Years. It's logical. Go from the one that changes the most often to the one that changes the least often.

    I agree.

It's so odd with Months > Days > Years.

The U.S. has different date patterns than the rest of the world and uses the US measuring system which only the US uses.

Way to make things confusing for people.
