<div class="IPBDescription">wip + hype generating thread</div>Hey, for those people who didn't know I'm currently working on an NS frag movie, this thread is here for exclusive (zomg!11) screenshots and hopefully to generate some hype so people will be interested in it when I finish.
I'm also gonna be working on a guide to moviemaking in NS which I'll post when I've finished.

    Looks really hot - way better than "strafe", which was a bit "limited" in image quality <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />.

    I'm just a bit confused about the video size. It's a 800*450 resolution, which is perfect 16:9, yet there is a letterbox with a 2*20 pixel border? But this is probably subject to change since most popular codecs require resolutions to be a multiple of 8 or 16. Whatever <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
    Just make sure you don't mess up the interlacing if you're editing in Vegas, and I'm really looking forward to this one!

    Truth be told I'm still messing with the border area, not quite sure what I'm gonna do with it at the moment. As regards to Strafe, I think everyone knows the story behind that by know, suffice to say that booting up your PC to find smoke coming out of the fans is never good, especially when the smoke is coming from the hard drive whcih is holding all your raw footage and project files :< if I hadn't had that crappy quality version rendered out on another hard drive it wouldn't have been released at all.
    I'm planning to encode with H.264 and XViD, which both support non-mod16 resolutions, the 'border' effect was a BMP overlay which I made to cut the footage down in vegas to just show what thefinal video would show (eg crop 75px top and bottom) however it appears I made it a little too large lol

    No real point, I was just curious, because if they were, I could replace my default models and still play in leagues.

    last i heard its been finished for about 3 weeks and sitting on the nl.com ftp for about a week or so. waiting for the nl.com hosting to swap over so i can upload the xvid version + release
