Natural Selection HELP!

<div class="IPBDescription">It aint Workin!!!</div>I have down loaded it but now i am stumped on what to do where do i save it??
I have a steam account but i am not sure how to save it into there
PLEASE HELP ME SOMEBODY

1) Stop Steam. (Steam must not be running when installing NS)
2) Start the client installer, follow the given instructions. The path mentioned should be the right one.
3) After installing, start Steam again.
4) in MY GAMES, there should be a new entry.

Because NS is a MOD, you need HALF LIFE (not Half-Life 2).

So does that mean that i have to buy the HL from steam before i am able to play NS

I double click teh setup and it says "Setup has not detected a valid steam install. Do you wish to continue?"

choose the logout option
log out
log in (type in name and password)

try again.
