After installing the new NS the game hangs on every map change. I have to ctrl-alt-del and kill hl.exe and restart the game then I can join a map but at the next map change it hangs again.
I tried a reinstall but it didn't help. I reinstalled the last version and it worked fine, then reinstalled the new one and I still hang on every map change. I get no error messages and windows event viewer has nothing.
Yes my motherboard drivers/directx/video drivers/audio drivers are all up to date.
Anyone have this problem and have any idea how to fix it?

Do I have to run the hazard course before upgrading from 3.1 to 3.2?
When you install 3.2, do you first uninstall 3.1 ?
I didn't uninstall 3.1 first since I want to keep all the custom maps and such I've downloaded over the years. Are there certain files or folders I should remove first?
edit: I moved the entire ns directory to a different location and did a clean install. Still hangs on map change.
It might be corrupted, so your best bet would be to download the full-installer again.

It says:

The download page doesn't have the md5 listed though.
Redownloading the full client to see if that works.
edit: new download has same md5 as above. Reinstalled in new directory. Still hangs.
TR installs drivers to intercept audio for recording so anything passing through your sound card can be saved. Even though I changed the drivers back to my sound card it still made NS freeze on map change. I had to uninstall it to make the problem go away.
