Upgrades for Structures

I'd like to suggest something like this for NS2. Make structures cost less but give them some nice upgrade options. Might also want to make the structures easier to kill. In order to limit structure spam, just tighten the structure type/area numbers.

    I'm halfway with you, I'd rather alien structures get stronger the older they are, however if that does not get implemented i hope this does.

    I like the idea of this. Perhaps the structures could start out very weak as well. Many times, end-game aliens always have 100 res and nothing to spend it on. Problem solved, anyone?

    Marines should also be able to do something similar.

    However, perhaps for the new version, only chambers on the DI should be upgradeable, and lose the upgrades if the DI under them is destroyed. Likewise, Marine structures on the DI could not receive upgrades.
