Often in popular science articles you tend to get a lot of crappy ideas mixed in with a couple good ones.
I'd just like to say that I recently found this list, and there's actually a suprisingly high number of good energy ideas in this one.

That said,
I don't think Ethanol, Hydrogen, or Nuclear makes any sense.
(Butanol, Electric, and GeoThermal make far more sense in those categories)
But then again, I'm starting to have my misgivings about BioFuels in general<ul><li>From a supply side vs. demand side economics perspective (Are we actually offsetting oil, or not even keeping up with growth in fuel demand)</li><li>From a carbon opportunity cost perspective (Is it really the low hanging fruit?)</li><li>From a corporate welfare perspective (ADM, Cargil eating up all the money)</li><li>From a unintended consequences perspective (Deforrestation, Nitrogen Greenhouse pollution, Net Carbon Increase, Doubling in the price of food)</li><li>From a price-of-oil subsidy perspective (Are we just floating the price of gasoline by artificially raising supply?)</li></ul>_
Anyways, we got quite a lot of smart people here.
What do you guys think we should do?
