I'm sorry but you're wrong. I'm also in South Africa (Cape Town). You'll be buying the game through Steam, with a credit card. You will pay exactly what everyone else pays in dollars. If the game is $20 that will be R160. Retail games bought from a shop cost R300 at least, so it's an awesome deal for what will in all probability be a brilliant game. There's nothing stopping you from buying HL2 for $15 over steam, so I don't really understand your argument.

-I think he is mixing up US$ and AUS$. Currently the AUD is 0,8308 USD. But this still doesn't explain why he has to pay 58$. Maybe there is a huge tax on software in Australia. Who knows?

We're both South African - games here are overpriced and he is worried NS will be hugely expensive when it comes out here. This is not the case, as he would be buying it through Steam, so the price is identical everywhere
