Rhino, Kraven, Vulture, Mysterio, Black Cat. I'm all for old school Spiderman. Without Venom, it would have been Green Goblin, Doc Oc, Sandman. I didn't like Venom and Carnage at all.
Unfortunately my Marvel education is mainly through animated series and comics ive been downloading from different sites (since I know the animated series dont always stick to the comics). Over here you can hardly find any American comic books (which is a shame <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" /> )
Well heres the question. There is a storyline(or more than one) I remember watching in the animated series that has Spiderman, the X-men and some other guys getting together to fight some baddies. Could that be possible for a movie? Whats gonna happen when Tony Stark meets the Ghost Rider?
<!--quoteo(post=1625373:date=May 6 2007, 07:59 PM:name=LokeTheSleekPeruvian)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(LokeTheSleekPeruvian @ May 6 2007, 07:59 PM) </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec--> If Venom was destroyed, does that mean we can rule out Carnage for the next movies? Dr. Connor has a piece of the Venom symbiote, therefor allowing a venom return. Though, with Norman Osborne dead from the first movie, that means there can be no Scorpion, and Mac Gargan can't become the next host, because, well, there's no reason for him to be...
Also, Eddie Brock can't share a jail cell with Cletus Cassidy, and Carnage can't exist. I really don't know what the hell they are thinking, or what they plan to do in the next 2 movies...

A Spiderman film with Carnage in it would be even more of a travesty than this one. If done properly the entire film would be a gorefest culminating in the death of Peter Parker. The film itself would probably be tremendous, the drama, violence, and attention to the detail of the real story probably creating the best comic book movie of all time.
What will probably happen IRL is Jonah will get taken over by Carnage somewhere in the movie, Spiderman will spend the other 1.5hrs having an internal conflict and/or puberty, and the movie will make 150million dollars in the opening weekend.

went to see it, was pretty mediocre all around, except for the peter parker going bad*** section of the movie, it was deliriously alleviating to see the goody two-shoes break out.

I'd like to point out, I hope every single one of you, American or otherwise <i>cringed</i> at the shameless 'pose' moment in front of a giant, cinema screen filling American Flag.
What's next? <i>"Coming this Fall! Spiderman versus Johnny Muslim!"</i>
(Yes, I will personally fly to your country of origin and kick you in the face if you decide to bring up the fact that comics were entirely propaganda originally anyway, I know, and I don't care, the medium should have grown up by now, and I'd hope people were more informed.)

I just saw this movie yesterday, everyone in my theater laughed when that happened. It was just so terribly blatant it was embarrassing.
The movie wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, considering what many of people said. However I still didn't like it that much, with Parker going emo it almost seemed as if it was parodying itself. It just seemed.. I don't know how to describe it.. over the top, I guess?

/agree on all counts.
The movie sorta had the feel and pacing of a musical. there were some actual pseudo musical numbers and dance scenes, it didn't take itself too seriously, etc.
someone really needs to take footage from spiderman dancing in the bar or dancing down the street and use it to recreate this:
Some of the acting was TERRIBLE. The scene in the jazz club made me want to get up and walk out. However, I though the battles certainly looked awesome and that's really all I was expecting from this one. I thought the first battle between spidey and harry was one of the coolest 1 v 1 movie moments ever. A lot of other people I talked too thought it was too fast paced to follow though.

Oh, and the movie wasn't very good. I hated how Venom was played out, and Toby McGuire (sp?) is very bad at the dramatic scenes. Also, not much action and too much mushy and cheesy love scenes (it felt like a romantic comedy at that French resturaunt scene).

I think we need a Spider-man soap opera.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
It's called Spider Man 3
And Spiderman 3 will probably bring a craze to the emo styled hair. Win.
If Venom was destroyed, does that mean we can rule out Carnage for the next movies? How about the guy with the fish bowl on his head?

The action was simply the best, and for someone who is slightly familiar with the originals, they got the point of many of the characters across.
Though oddly, spidey himself OFTEN looked unrealistic to me. Its like they took a step back from before, graphically.

Spider-man 3 set a new world record:
Opening Weekend = $145 Million
