Gamma Way Too Bright

<div class="IPBDescription">Gamma way too bright</div> I've heard that many people have a problem where the gamma is too dark.. well my problem is it's way too bright!!

Ive played with the gamma setting in ns and my video card colour correction settings but whenever the console closes and i join a server my gamma gets blasted.. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

Anyone know about this or have any solutions?

Well, NS alters a bit of the brightness in areas to improve graphics (much like many newer games like Q3 and UT do). If your gamma is too high to begin with however, this can cause problems. Try running the Gamma Configuration program in the NS directory.

Alright, when the game engine is loaded the gamma is still increased greatly, but i can fix that with my monitor brightness once in the game.

But I can't see my minimap the sqare is just all white!? <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

Anyone know about this?
