<div class="IPBDescription">CPU PSU for CB Radio</div>So i have this old cb radio i wanted to hook up to my computers PSU. The question is which 2 wires do i use from the PSU?

I was told from a friend to use the yellow and black one.. if this is the truth and case, which black one do i use seeing there are 2 black wires.

My first guess was id be using one of the red and black ones considering i thought red was positive? but then again i dont know how a cpu PSU even works with its 4 wires lol.

Might want to check how many amps the cb draws. Perform this check while talking.

Things worth knowing: You are liable to get upwards of 5 amps from the Molex Connecter, so watch out.

Also, you can get +7 volts if you use the +12 volt cable as positive, and the +5 volt cable as the ground.

You probably already know, but never key the mic unless an antenna (or dummy load) is connected - you'll blow the finals.

I used to use a 12v car battery charger to power my old CB. Fun times.

    haha i dunno yet :/

I'm trying to think of something annoying but at the same time almost like purepwnage leet to annoy the hell out of everyone..

Update: I bought a 100 foot antenna pole setup. along with 200 dollar high powered Liner amp

time to interfere with peoples digital cable as they here my annoying voice through their tv screens. woot.

On a second note, i had to grab a second psu to power that too lol.

edit: im now trying to modify the liner to fit inside one of the disk drive bays for my cpu also. If i get it too and setup everything properly ill be sure to post screenshots of it being super geeky and retardly completed lol
