Besides, wounded soldiers do more damage to their side than dead ones do. Its better for the enemy to ignore the wounded soldier.

If they're going to use it for troop rescue, they should at least add some kind of... back shield to the Teddybot, to keep the soldier in it's... creepy arms... from being shot. Or at least a... wound-recognition system.
That way, when the bear comes back to the medic-tent, he doesn't drop off a mangled corpse... o_O; "Another day saved by Teddybot!"
Why do I feel as though the world literacy rate is dropping?

I think the entire feasibility of this robot during a combat situation is in question. They might as well just put guns on it and send it into combat areas instead of using it to take people out.

It can control how tall it is, useful for gaining different shooting prespectives. It is cold and unfeeling, and it is 95% terrifying.
The thing is, I imagine the american military is a bit wary of producing $500,000 robots that are quite likely to just get shot with a rocket launcher when they can just make people do the dirty work. In the mean time they have alot of $500,000's to spend so they are trying to make robots that stay out of the line of heavy fire. This is the army that still sends it's troops into desert combat with M4 assault rifles, a weapon so well documented of jamming when interfered with sand it's funny.

You win the psychic award of the week. The bear robot was featured in the Colbert Report last night! It's not on Youtube yet but should be soon eh. Hilarious. BTW after that segment he interviews Ron Paul, which is cool.

Apparently the bear has competition for "cute robot who grabs people and carries them around."
