I'm buying a Wii
<div class="IPBDescription">and I need game advice.</div>Ladies and gentlemen,
Within the next month or so I plan to purchase a Wii. As much fun as Wii Sports is (and it is; no sarcasm there) I would like to also purchase a game that provides a good single player experience. So, forumers, convince me! Tell me what good Wii games are out there (and will come out during the Summer) and what you like about them. One exception: no Zelda: Twilight Princess for I already have that on my GCN.
Thanks!

Manhunt looks cute.
I'm picking up No More Heroes too.
That is if I get a Wii.
You could buy Mario Strikers, I guess. And Resident Evil 4 (wii version obviously).
Though, you can beat the game within 15 hours or more or less. There is a lot of replay value.
If you happen to rent that game though, you can probably manage to beat it before returning it.
Great SP experience and plays way better than COD3.
Edit: Oh and dont forget to get your wii moded.
Super Paper mario is alot of fun.
One of my friends has be raving about PoP:Rival Swords.
Exite Truck is honestly alot of fun, but I think it might get dull after a while (have only played it for a short time)
Far Cry Vengeance

I had heard Far Cry for the Wii was bad, I may rethink not buying it if I can find a bargin copy.
Wii moded?<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="???" border="0" alt="confused-fix.gif" />? Like for different regions?
Otherwise: Wario Ware, Rayman, Super Paper Mario are all awesomesauce.
I think everyone's holding out on Smash at this point but that's looking to be a disappointment.
And i'm planing on picking up Mario Strikers Charged Football here as soon as i get some cash <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" /> i'll let you know how that turns out <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
I guess I'm behind the times - I hadn't even realized Paper Mario was out yet =x

They actually released Paper Mario, then they released a sequel on the Gamecube, THEN they came out with a Wii version which is kind of like a 2nd sequel except it's not like the others. So you're behind the times back to about the N64 days.

Ouch. =p yeah I knew there was at least one paper mario that I missed, but I didn't realize the Wii version came out <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
I played the Super Mario RPG though, which pre-dated the lot! so nyah!

kinda.
Basicly a good portion of the game is standard 2D mario, run, jump, kill.
however:
You level up (more HP, more DMG).
You gain more people to play as.
There are items to use.
There is a plot.
You gain abilities as you progress.
There is a good amount of puzle solving (infact, combat is rather easy, the puzzles are more fun).
There is a town to explore.
So, mabey zelda was a bad choice, but it is kinda hard to explain. Alot of it is rather standard Mario, but with some very stange twists.
I will also say that the game is REALLY easy.
The combat is a joke, you almost never need to use items, and alot of the side quests are kinda lackluster and not interesting. I don't think I have died once, admitedly I havn't finished it yet.....
Ok, what I just wrote makes it seem realyl bad...
It honestly isn't, it is really fun, but unfortunatly a tad bit easy, and every so often they throw an "adventure" at you that is litteraly NOTHING but a waste of time. (If you do play, when you get to the part where you have to work off a debt, just go to gameFAQs and cheat)
