Maps for New Players

Hey all

I have been playing NS for a while and I help run a 200 person lan.

We have started playing NS at the event for a while now but I would like to grow the NS some more but NS can be very complex for new players.

So I am going to have Newbie session @ the next event and work from there until NS2 comes out.
I was only going to do a 3 map cycle of NS_Metal, NS_Veil, NS_Tanith.
Also Im going put new guys with old players to help them learn the maps and teach them what to do.

I feel those maps are simple enough for new players to learn and very balanced.

I'd replace metal with eclipse.

I would suggest that you show them a guide telling them the basics of the game like how to change lifeforms. Nothing complex for starts, maybe a 1 or 2 page long guide. I know these guides are floating somewhere in the all mighty "internet".
