Free Stuff from Microsoft
I'll cut to the chase. Microsoft set up a site to promote Live search, where you play arcade games and get tickets, and these tickets can be redeemed for prizes. Prizes include music downloads, shirts, blah, blah, Flight Simulator, Project Gotham Racing 3, Vista Ultimate, a Zune, XBox 360 bundle, and so forth.

I recommend Chicktionary and <a href="http://www.anagrammer.com/" target="_blank">Annagrammer.com</a>.
Apparently this has been around for a while. I saw it on Something Awful, and a couple of people have already turned in tickets for copies of Vista. Unfortunately, its not supposed to ship for two months.
Its US only. Sorry everyone else.
Oh, and there are some bots already out there, but I won't link to them. Cheaters never win! <_< >_>

Of course. Why did I even get my hopes up in the first place? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad-fix.gif" />

Well, if you know someone in America, you could always have them recieve and then ship your winnings.
Sounds sweet, but don't think Vista is much of an incentive... probably just the opposite.

Sure, right now Vista isn't great but as is such with operating systems we'll all have to upgrade eventually. Its not likely to be any less expensive then though, and free is always good.

Vista's not that bad if you can get past the whole, it freezes the first time its ever booted up on a brand new machine (happened to me). Bottom line, they changed a whole bunch of stuff that didn't need changing but once you get used to it there's no real difference.
Anyway, thanks for the link. I'll have to check that site out.
if I have the time to sink into it
I wil lget a 360 <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
The highest paying game seems to be 20 tickets...
oh, and a 360? 35000 tickets
20 per game? 1750 games
To get it in a month? 59 games per day.
btw, who wants to guess how long it will take the advertisers to get pissed as they KNOW no one is looking at their adds for all these hits?

Actually, I'm going to try for a Zune, and then Vista Ultimate. A Zune is 20000 tickets, and Vista is 6000 tickets. Its going to be a while.

hey, if you play 10 games a day for a month you will have your copy of vista <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
Damn MS for not launching an EU version of this scheme.
I think it's kinda funny that I'm potentially about to get free stuff from Microsoft by playing their games inside Firefox, on Ubuntu.

good man
I actually tried out some some of the other puzzles, and it does help to search
so I used google.
I am curious, I saw some one who had to have been making about 200 tickets per game (can't quote you the numbers atm though).

Flexicon gives you 25 tickets per game. And Vista isn't that hard to get. I legitmately accrued over 2000 points last night playing Chicktionary for a couple hours. I had a good set up where I had the game on the top left of the screen, Anagrammer on the right side in a column, and a movie on the bottom left.
so yah:

any one explain?
Unless MS has a really nice insecure website (and that would honestly surprise me), something smells rotten in the state of denmark
Oh, and the leader bored is wonky....
Screw the zune, my zen wins all.
for any one that has hit 2000+ do you start getting more tickets per game?
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Nope. Still 20 tickets per game. There are caps, too. Chicktionary cap is 7000, Crosswire is something like 4800, and Flexicon is 9000.
Any way to turn off the dang sounds so I can listen to music? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

Oh, and I just ordered Vista.
I'd put more time into this, but...I mean, there's nothing on there that really interests me/I don't already have.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
You could get more copies of Vista, and then Ebay them. I'm considering doing that.
Also, for more information about all of this, check out this subforum on the Facepunch forums: <a href="http://forums.facepunchstudios.com/forumdisplay.php?f=56716" target="_blank">http://forums.facepunchstudios.com/forumdisplay.php?f=56716</a>.
I have seen numerous refferences to Mac products in different games (replacement for the ipod mini? Nano; Apple music player? ipod; joggers music player? ipod)
mmm, more fun screw ups:
