Yeah I'm still not satisfied with my Delorian's mileage, I think I need to have it serviced...

    Imaging this.

Grandma downloads HDD movie in 2 seconds, then has to wait for it to copy to the hard drive . That's, that is just unheard off

Well, PR-stunt, she has the whole pibe for herself. I wonder what one's ordinary broadband could pull if we had a pibe for ourselves and a unlimited access subscription. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

I think they missed the fact that no server will be able to upload at a rate anywhere close to that, so it's just a case of bottle-necking.

I bet she only uses it to check her email.

Indeed. Though, if she uses bit torrent.... (if there are enough seeders)

    And once again, her own computer will be the bottleneck <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

True, but as 64bit computing supoprts upto 128 terrabytes of RAM, theoretically it would be possible to download and store such a file, it would just take time to write to the hard drive. But then if you use one of those RAM drives, admittedly they only support upto 8GB at the moment, there should be no bottleneck...

Of course, that is in the future, today she will have problems...

I think I'd just download the internet. Like, the whole internet.

I doubt she can drain the entire internet's upload.

But the bottleneck will be HD write speed..
