<div class="IPBDescription">quick question about touchpad</div>so i just installed vista on my laptop, had to for school reasons.
when i had xp on my laptop i was able to hit both the left and mouse buttons at the same time to preform a middle click, but after installing vista i am not able to do this. i cant seem to find a way to do this, does anyone have any idea on how i might be able to preform middle clicks?

i did find out that it uses a synaptics touchpad, so i got the latest synaptics driver for it, but it still doesnt work. all that allowed me to do was change different settings on the touchpad.
upgrade to XP?

I wonder what kind of reasons a school would have for enforcing Vista.
and for the reasons i have to use vista, my laptop came with xp home on it, and i could do what i needed to do with that. had to do with installing certain things i didnt have the rights too unless i had xp pro or vista. i had already gotten a copy of xp pro and vista business off of microsoft msdn academic alliance, which if you dont know what it is, its pretty awesome. if youre school is a part of it you can go and download any of the software your school has the rights too.
ive already used my copy of xp pro on my other computer so that left vista for my laptop.
and i guess ill just have to cope with this minor inconvenience and maybe wait until it solves itself.
