Client error when creating Lan server

Hey i get this error when trying to start a LAN server

"could not load library C:\Sierra\Half-life/NS/client_dlls\client.dll"

Im using ns version 3.2 and get the same error with version 3.1 ive tried it on 3 other computers and they all produce the same outcome. I then updated half life to version: 1.1.1.0 although it didn't make any difference and still had an error with the client file.

Is this version of ns specially designed for steam?

because i did play natural selection when they had version 3.0 beta on the same versions of half-life and never got any errors

Firstly, im not using steam because i want to run natural selection on 4 computers at home as a lan game..and dont want to spend $40 on getting steam accounts with valid cdkeys etc..

and by the sounds of it, this version of Natural selection 3.2 isn't meant to run on the older versions of half-life even though the half-life version has been updated to 1.1.1.0..also with that code it removes the game from the custom game menu..i tried taking away the space between the last line but it didnt make any difference..

..and about the up to date client.dll i assume i am seeing that i downloaded the nsv3.2 client


so the only thing im guessing is to download a older version of natural selection from memory 3.0 beta worked on the older version of hl and just see if that works
