Please help me, i got serius problems.

<div class="IPBDescription">I got a quite good graphite card, but i cant play ns well.</div>Well i am currently using a laptop (HP Pavilon dv 9506TX GM213PA#AB5) to play Ns 3.2. It's operating systems is Core 2 Duo T7500 (2.2Ghz), 800MHz FSB. With 2GB DDR2 (2X1024mb) (667MHz) as memory. Also the laptop is with Nvidia Geforce 8600M GS having 1023M memory. I am using window Vista. However when i join game, it said "graphite doesn't support display gam", how could this happen? Tho i suceed in joining and play in a server, the score list is green in colour and all the icons that show the items that the comn drop gone black. Something even worse is i cant comn because many spots gone black. Last of all is sometimes my fps drop to 4 and continues for like 10 secs which really anooys me. Is there a way to solve these problems... Please help me! I am very desperate.

I too am having similar problems. i recently bought my computer from Dell about 4-5 months ago so im fairly confident i have the system requirements to run NS, however when i join a game and it loads up all that comes up is a black screen and a message in the middle saying "Display Doesn't support downloadable gam". i have a feeling it may have something to do with my graphics card which is a Radeon X1300 Series (0x7183) or it may have something to do with my opperating system which is Windows Vista. Can anyone who has had similar problems and knows a way to fix it please share??

Causes:

This problem is caused by the Gamma Ramp method being incompatible with the 64-bit display drivers. They handle gamma in a way which wasn't around when Half-Life was made, way back when. What you will need to do is twofold.
First of all, open up the command console (default key: ` or ~), and type the following:

cl_gammaramp 0

That will disable the gamma ramp, leaving you to set it yourself. Obviously, this will lower the gamma dramatically. Then, what you need to do is to find the display options (under Options -> Video), and adjust the gamma upwards (Gamma slider is at the bottom right of the video options page). Then click Ok, which will then restart NS. Connect to your usual servers, and play away, with the proper display methods being used smile-fix.gif<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
