The marines right now move pretty fast, if you add a sprint button you'd most likely need to set the normal moving speed closer to a walk than the jogging it is right now, nothing wrong with sprint buttons, but i think in combat marines would be at a disadvantage, as they'd have to shift jump just to get a significant distance, and they wouldnt be able to maneuver as well as in NS right now.
Theres nothing wrong with having a sprint button, but its either you have the speed as it is right now with a sprint that makes you run way faster than anyone intends, or walking with a reasonable sprint, NS just doesnt seem to be compatible with it, at least to me.

I don't see the point of having a sprint button considering skulk leap, lerk flight, fade blink and onos charge. Although some of those don't come with the first hive or are maybe going to be changed for ns2, these abilities serve a similar purpose as a sprint button does and we already have a special button for them(+movement). Regarding the positive feedback of the introduction of movement, I don't think they are going to leave it out of ns2.
