Man, if you call XFire "just another totally unneccesary chat program" then you've never used it. That's like calling Steam "just another totally unneccesary download manager." Sure, it'll grab files for you, but it's so much more than that. In fact, XFire will grab files too <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
Hopefully there will be a transcript.
Alright, I'll rephrase, "In my opinion, X-fire is just another, to me totally unneccesary chat program/game manager". I can tell you why, but this is not the place to do that.
I thought it would be audio, too, but reading the newspost again, that was just an assumption, it doesn't state what kind of chat it will be. Text is good, text has transcripts ^^

<b>"Not for a specific age group necessarily, but you definitely have to think about your target player. I am investigating use of "personas" in games now (Cooper Institute) that seems to hold a lot of promise as a methodology."</b>
I ran a search for this and I hope I found what he is refering to. Even if this isn't exactly it, it is a really interesting read:
