<div class="IPBDescription">Whats with the new ns ?</div>Alright.. so... let me introduce myself to this new NS site.. my name is Alex Soltan, 18 yr male from Toronto canada, out of highschool and currentlyy 2 full time jobs. I've been playing NS since day 1... and yes i loved the days when marines had lasers coming out of their guys... not sure if they still have that, as i'm downloading it now again. So.... I haven't really been playing much computer games for these past 2 years but i'm starting to develop some more free time and i want to get into NS again. I stopped playing just before NS 2 came out... maybe even as they were starting to develop it. What is ns2? All i know is that there is a game called Natural Selection and i pretty much remember it as it was 2 years ago, what's new? whats different? Do i have to buy ns2? Is NS2 just the single player game? or is it a new kind of multiplayer games... meaning there is NS1 online multiplayer and NS2? Any advice or information you guys can provide me with? Anything is helpful.. thx for your time. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/asrifle.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::asrifle::" border="0" alt="asrifle.gif" /> EDIT: btw... i cant run the game? Before when i used to play, back in the day i could open it from my STEAM GAMES list... now i can't.. .it doesn't show up? What's up ? i find the ns folder in my STEAMAPPS>DETH206>Halflife and then NS but there is no NS.EXE or autorn or anythiung.. and yes i've installed....

    Ok lets see lol.

    NS2 Is not even released yet and yes It will be hopefully around 20$, thats what UWE is going for. Whats new in NS2? They have yet to announce the features that will be in the new version. Other then some things like the game will be in the Source Engine.

    Now onto your install problem, after you installed NS did you restart steam? The Icon will come up right after you do that

    Wow dude, you’re really out of the loop. It's cool, always good to have someone on board again! As tigersmith has said, NS2 isn't out yet, everything people are saying on these boards are just ideas and thoughts about how they would like NS2 to be, so feel free to add your own.

    Have a read of the <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/" target="_blank">news section</a> of the site; take a look at the Archives (Right hand side of News page) to get an idea of what the Unknown Worlds team are planning for NS2. Take a look at the <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/faq/" target="_blank">FAQ</a> and <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/gallery/" target="_blank">the cool concept art</a>, oh and <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/videos/" target="_blank">Dynamic Infestation (DI)</a>, which as I think everyone one will agree, we are all hoping to see in NS2. But I'm sure you have done all that already <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

    Nice to have you back in the game!

    Oh and here's <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns/static/comm_manual/basic/index.htm" target="_blank">the latest community manual for NS version 3.0 Beta 6</a>. Stuff has changed since NS 1.0. I don't think you will need it tho. The official manual isn’t really up... Enjoy!

    Marines never <i>actually</i> had lasers coming out of their guns. It was just some server side mods screwing around with that stuff.
