Egg laying

The gorge is pretty much screwed if marines are coming his way. Here's an idea. Whenever marines see an egg of someone evolving, they always stop to kill the egg naturally. I propose that the gorge be able to lay false eggs very quickly using up low amount of res points, which will then distract the marines and give gorgey time to hide.
just imagine walking into a room of eggs! you'd cack yourself, then you'd shoot them all, only to find you've been tricked <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" /> by this time, gorgey can be well on his way.

Hahaha thats an awesome idea, So you [gorge] hear some rines stomping arround the corner, you poop out the egg and bhop away meanwhile they stab away at the egg, maybe if the egg even had some poison in it or webexplosion to stop them for a second.
everything was going well till you mentioned alien spore mines
marines would start ignoring potential onos eggs after a while too, thinking they were hoax eggs <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
*Shoots eggs, realizes its a fake, turns around to be surprised by the breath of an Onos breathing behind him* (oh what a fate)
yeah i think it a decoy in the hive would be much more effective - after a few hrs of playing the game, and seeing eggs everywhere, marines would just stop killing them - because what are the chances that a player is silly enough to onos in the middle of map.
Take into consideration though that the dymanic infestation in a hive may already have built in decoys <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
*mental image of gorgy plopping out an egg* <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/pudgy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::gorge::" border="0" alt="pudgy.gif" />

NS2 is undergoing many changes from NS1, for all we know someone has already come up with a cool new idea for marines, which can't be used until aliens get a new advantage to offset the marine's new ability. Even if there wasn't a new marine ability/tool, I don't think a static egg model that doesn't do anything would create a huge imbalance.
Heavies arent the be all end all but without a few good higher life forms they can put massive pressure on the alien team, just hope you got a good few fades or even a onos knocking about and you should be okay. Marines can only get heavies if you let them have too many rts <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />.
On topic i do like the idea as a egg as a decoy but after a few hours i can imagine when you see a egg in the middle of the floor and you see a gorge scurrying away you would ignore the egg outright. However automatic egg decoys in the hive i love.
Off-Topic: VMan, dude HAs are only that good if your bad, or the marines have a pg at EVERY RT on the map, Heavys are slow, eat their nodes and when they die from lifeforms the comm cant give them more.
Heavies are near-mandatory for defending phasegates.

fixed.
Also this topic is similar to <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?showtopic=102522" target="_blank">this thread</a>. Neat ideas.
