It would be helpful to have a "press kit" that we can give to big sites like 1UP, as well as fan or community sites. This would be a .zip including all released screenshots, concept art, features, press releases, logos, our game font, etc.

Do you guys feel like getting this started? Most of this stuff is available on the site (except the logo/font which I can add).

Includes videos of prop design and the infestation, all the released concepts, some banners and such, links to good info for a article.

I've been very busy, but I think can now devote some regular time on the weekends to helping DrFuzzy on this project. We live in the same city FFS, we just need to swap cellphone #'s. I have my cellphone on me almost always.

Ok, public update: Press kit preliminary example was sent by DrFuzzy some time ago and Flayra neither replied nor acknowledged the e-mail was received. This topic is most likely dead.

An optimal press kit would require additional resources that aren't available on the site. From the marketing research I've been doing, there seems to be a big trend towards including stronger web assets and resources, but even before that, there are no screenshots, no clear gameplay element documentation, etc.; I'm inclined to say that it's actually <i>too early</i> to release a fan kit, unless the team is planning on releasing the game very soon after a large media blitz.

Yes the community needs more concept art logos and font's, please post more Flayra. Hi first post. Long time NS player first time player.

I work in marketing with my company, we also deal with the online gaming market. I am not sure what kind of budget you have to work with when it comes to your advertisement that you would like with ZDM (1up/egm/filefront/mycheats/etc.) as you state in your first post. I have worked with them a few times and have quote lists as well as many various other ways to get income without charging players money and using this income to further promote you via those services.

If you are interested in this let me know. I would love to see NS2 get huge to the public and have a few ideas on how to get the lowest cost marketing which with enough player support would pretty much pay for itself. Normally I don't share trade secrets, but I know that your company is not run by P2P so any type of cost reduction would be great.

He never sent it to me, he sent it to Charlie.

(much of that is due the fact that he's honestly busy as hell trying to run a new company and produce a large commercial game with a lot riding on it and a lot of demanding features to improve or add)

Ooh and let whomever you can contact know that I have found a way to get a ton of advertising for free technically. It would be no cost to UW but it would require some cooperation. Let them know that ill fill them in on further info after I get in contact with them. Its similar to what my company did to get 20m hits in less than a week from gamers.

Also I don't think they're ready for it. They'll probably start a PR push once they're closer to a release date, but if they start it too early it could be detrimental. I'm sure they'll take all the help they can get once they're in a position to use it.
