Hi all..
Just installed NS, tried to create a game to test settings and all. It loads for a few seconds, and then just freezes up. Connecting to an existing server works just fine, no problem at all.

Installed HL2 -> installed HL via steam -> dl NS and install.
Files seem to be ok (steam checked files, no errors)

Any other suggestions than uninstall -> reinstall?

EDIT: omg, you have to be kidding me!?

Im sorry, posted a dumb question.. I 'solved' the problem; I uninstalled everything including steam. I installed everything from beginning and ran NS in a boxed mode so I could just kill hl.exe with task manager if it would freeze.

So.. There was no problem in the first place. It was about my firewall. Apparently COMODO doesnt pop-up when creating a game. It asked for permission when playing/searching servers, but didnt ask anything when I created a game.

Lol.. I feel so stupid right now.. Im sorry for wasting your time. I'll go bang my head to the table now <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

I have the same problem with my firewall as well, I have to very quickly check the minimize Steam app tab when NS launches, then quickly check the "allow" button inside my firewalls popup window, according to the setting I assigned HL and Steam to run. If I don't do it really fast, then I have to use the windows key to go back out, hit the allow button and hope it works.... [sometimes yes, sometimes no] *shrug* least you figured it out!

You have to set permissions EVERY time you run NS? What firewall you got? Can't you add a allowed conn., so you won't have to clickety-clack every time?
