Living in Houston

Richard Weekley
What makes Houston a great place o live is its temperate climate and affordable cost of living. The cost of living is almost 10% less than that of United States and the overall housing costs are 20 % lower. A distinctly diverse culture and great educational opportunities make it every one’s favorite. But there are some areas which still needs a bit of attention on the part of its residents. These include the need for more strategically planted trees around, need for more Parks, Bayous & recreational opportunities. There is an urgent need to reduce the usage of billboards, signages, litter & graffiti, which together tarnish the natural beauty of the place.
It is to address all these issues that the Quality of Life Coalition was formed. The coalition is based on the Quality of Life agenda, which recognizes that Houston can make further progress economically only if there is an improvement in the quality of life led by the common Houstonian. This can be achieved only through the goals listed above.
The quality of life coalition was started by Richard Weekley. Mr. Weekley is also the CEO and Chairman of the Texas for Lawsuit Reforms. He has been active in community affairs, servicing on the Board of Great Houston Partnership, The Metropolitan YMCA, and the executive committee of the Governor’s Business Council. Besides Mr. Weekley, the coalition has many esteemed members like Ann Lents of The Center for Houston’s Future, Charles E McMahen of Compass Bancshares, Bill Coats of Coats, Rose, Yale, Ryman & Lee, among many others. The coalition works in tandem with many elected officials, private citizens, organizations and agencies to ensure adequate funding, sound planning, and appropriate implementation of the agenda items.

but seriously, who registers just to post that? It's applicable to almost no one here?
