<div class="IPBDescription">Chambers not forever dead, unless burnt.</div>Basicly poor gorgie here has just spent his res to evolve, every ones too quick and has buggered off on him, hes alone and has to build.

Next thing you know no matter how you splice it, two marines with shot guns come along and and put two shots into each chamber and they are dead forever, gorge is dead thats at least 30 res for two chambers, no kharaa can get to him to save him in time.

Now how about if this happens, and basicly sure gorge dies but chamber's die, but they just remain there as large blown to peice chambers laying all kicked and steped on like a gooie green sand castle.

They remain this way for quite some time, perhaps 3 times the times it takes droped marine weapons to despawn, some were between that or two sulk deaths respawn, get back to the chambers time and gorge, that sounds about fair, in which case you go gorge, but then for a small res cost each chamber can be rebuilt and healed to full health, say 4 res to rebuild a chamber.

Could even work with hives for say 20 res, but a dead hive would remain rebuildable for about 5 minutes, before despawning and resulting in haveing to spend 40 res again.

I mean if the kharaa kill the fully upgraded weapons factory, marines dont have to build a new one and upgrade everything again.
no they just build a new one, and everythings still upgraded.

The twist being a marine with a flame thrower can burn back the DI, and then burn the chamber or hive roots, leaveing a cool effect you can almost smell as well as swallowing that extra res forceing the gorge to truely relocate res less

I figurer flame throwers would be about 15-20 res or some such even tho most guns are 5 res,
i dont know it just seams to me like marine just keep picking up their big old shoties, while have the base always upgradeing
and the kharaa being slowly pushed back.

It would be nice to not have your last 15 minute worth of work blown to peice in 5 seconds and you have nothing to show for it.
two lerks cant fly at a sentry gun and with in two bites each garrentee they have taken it out.

even a hive two gorge has to stand out of line of sight and bile bomb a sentry for a good 16 seconds, as aspose to <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/asrifle.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::asrifle::" border="0" alt="asrifle.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/asrifle.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::asrifle::" border="0" alt="asrifle.gif" /> lets keep moveing.

obiously burning the foundations of a hive would take a lot longer prolly from multiple sources of fire.

maybe flame throws cant burn the foundations of the hive perhaps only seige guns can take out its roots, in which case it would be a fair res trade off if rines take the time and put in the effort to cripple us that little bit more.

i think if this was implemtned everyone would be happy, flamers would get used and have more versatility in squads,
and gorges would beable to pick up building almost from were they left off if rines dont finish off and sanatise the job, as aspose to being ######ed on and left with no res.
