Guitar Hero 3 out!

I assume everyone here is familiar with Guitar Hero. The 3rd installment comes with a new wireless Les Paul guitar(but you can buy the game alone if you want). I like it better than the 360 one.
The setlist is very good. Most of the songs(excepting the bonus ones) are songs I'd like to play(like Cliffs of Dover). See <a href="http://xbox360.ign.com/launch/guitar-hero-3.html" target="_blank">http://xbox360.ign.com/launch/guitar-hero-3.html</a> for the full list.

I have the Wii version, the first GH game on the console. My friend code is 0215-8947-0823. I'm not that good(play on hard, 3 star after failing) since I've never actually owned a GH game-only played it at friend's.

The Wifi multiplayer is good, unfortunately it doesn't allow hyperspeed. You can play, and not fail, any song, even one's you haven't unlocked or the co-op ones, by playing someone online in pro-faceoff. If people post their friend codes maybe we can get some battles going.

What's the PC controller like? 'Cos I've played on both the 360 and the PS2, and I am far, far better with the PS2 controller. I swear to GOD it's easier to play with.

But I'll be grabbing the PC version of GH when it comes out in the UK. So what's that controller like.

I've read it's complete and utter tosh. life and souless, horribly stiff animations from the band, notes you have to strum in the middle of HO/PO's, getting people from scorehero to do notesheets just to make them artificially harder like putting 3 and 4 button chords in that don't even fit. The guitars keep breaking and the neck comes loose a lot making the buttons not register. Save your money, buy Rock Band.

The Guitar Hero 2 360 controller, or the #3 Controller works for it too.

But from what I've been hearing, the Rock Band one is sturdier. Hm. Then again, I'm totally doing Drums and Vocals with Rock Band. My guitar/bass skill is decent, but I did pretty good with that drum bemani game.

    Bias [bahy-uhs]-Noun
1.a particular tendency or inclination, esp. one that prevents unprejudiced consideration of a question; prejudice.

also, the game came out today.

from <a href="http://www.aspyr.com/product/info/85" target="_blank">this</a> picture, the pc guitar is an exact copy of the 360 guitar. the pc version also has ridiculously high system requirements.

Seems the PC people are getting screwed out of the fancy wireless and new form factor:

I've got it for the 360. At first, the red button indeed would not register and I was ready to return it to best buy in a huff. but I wiggled it and now it's golden. the wirelessness is really cool and it's really responsive now that it's broken in.

it's cartoony compared to the old games, and the 'jokes' between songs aren't as funny, but the game itself is better than ever, and isn't that what really matters? really cool surprise features that I won't spoil. MUCH better setlist than I'm used to. good variety. the exchangeable faceplates are a nice touch - got a free sex pistols one from best buy.

the guitar hero games have always taken liberties with songs to make them more interesting to play, GH3 is no different from its predecessors in that respect - like, making you switch back and forth between lead and rhythm guitar in the middle of a song, not play every note, and adding notes to the song that weren't in it originally. Overall though, they really know what they're doing, and so far, this is the most fun I've had with GH since it was a brand new phenomenon with GH1. I give it a 9/10.

feel free to add gamertag: Ensvey to your friends list if you wanna do some coop or vs. jamming. Co-op, I might play - vs., I might have to sick my GF on you who can get perfects on expert mode.
