playing the game, lighting is not working

well to be specific, while playing a map in natural selection whther it would be a co or ns map, after a few minutes the lighting in the game does slightly dark. what does this mean? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/nerd-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::nerdy::" border="0" alt="nerd-fix.gif" />

Try turning off the gamma ramp. It may not work well with your computer.

Also, by any chance are you playing on a laptop?

I would actually say that it sounds like something is stealing the focus from the game, and then the game is reverting to desktop gamma instead of the gamma ramp. So 2 possible fixes:
1) Remove what ever other program that is stealing focus, aka, Run a full malware scan and then shut down ALL other programs before starting NS up.

2) Just use "cl_gammaramp 0" in the console and then manually jack up your gamma.


BTW, what <b>Ahnteis</b> was referring to for a laptop is that many will enter a power saving mode (by dropping the brightness A LOT) if your power is too low, this can be solved by plugging in your laptop.
