Okay, so I've been playing NS since the early versions of the game, and the answer to this conundrum still eludes me.

On my old computer, which was running Windows XP, Natural Selection worked perfectly, if not a little laggy because my comp had a terrible processor and grapics card. However, I have just recently upgraded to very powerful Vista-operated system running a card with DirectX 10. I heard it caused some problems with the Half Life 2 and Doom 3 engine, but I proved them false. However, when I installed Natural Selection and got it running on a random server, it displayed "DISPLAY DOES NOT SUPPORT DOWNLOADABLE GAM". Okay, whatever, I thought. It can't be that bad. Well, when I got into the command chair when playing the Marines, the HUD was entirely black! I couldn't see any of the structures! While playing as the aliens works fine, I can't command as a marine!

What the hell is wrong with my version of NS?! Please give your advice, I really enjoy NS and want to enjoy both sides of the game!

There seems to be an issue with your drivers and the gamma settings in-game.

Try setting cl_gammaramp to off (0).

    I think that should work.
