no .exe

<div class="IPBDescription">installed ns for the first time</div>i just installed both half-life and ns and when i click the "add non-steam game" button it cant find ns.exe i looked in the folder /half-life/ns but i cant find the exe there either.. can anyone help me?

    If you have installed Half-life 1 (NOT Half-Life Source) and run it once, and if the NS installer has run without error, then you should see Natural-Selection listed in your Steam games list.

    Also, there isn't an NS.exe so to speak, it launches via Steam:

    "...\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 70 -game ns -console

    Possibly you have not restarted steam since installing NS?


    (the add non-steam game is really just a way of being able to launch other programs from steam, like if you want to be able to launch WoW from steam for some reason)
