i just bought a mouse fro my laptop and when i join a game i cant aim? any suggestions?

when i hit console key it changes views tho

    What do you mean you can't aim?
    Is it working outside of NS?
    Is it moving around the screen while in other HL games?
    Is it working in the Menu of NS?
    Have you check mouse settings in the control panel?

    Sorry to ask a lot of questions but i'd just like to grasp what you mean.
