<div class="IPBDescription">Some words of support</div>Hey there guys!
I'm a pretty longstanding player of NS now, though as always I'm still a 'n00b' in most games (Jack of all trades, master of none - I have my fun though!).
I've been anticipating NS2 for ages now, and I was just listening to some of the podcasts whilst I was gaming last night and thought I'd come and join in the discussion here.
Eitherway, the main reason for posting is to big-it-up to the dev team and of course Flayra for going ahead with NS2, and to wish them all the best success with it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" /> I'm certain you're gonna make a lot of people happy; keep up the good work guys!

So we are all here because the game will be fan made instead of just what the community has, even though they seem to come up with such awesome ideas <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

probably because dev's from say EA or Ubi follow a different, probably pre-set design step/phase, but more sadly because they know that they can treat their fans like poo, and they will still rake enough cash in from the general public (and if not for one game they will make plenty from another).
They also seem to follow the desgin model of "its good enough(why put in more work to make it great when it will sell anyway)" but now i'm just ranting.
The dev's here really need to community backing to kick the off initially but of course the community benefits from that also (we get a game that is almost tailor made) <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

If you follow indie games' forums you'll see this happen a decent amount. You also see devs siding with a particular group of players and the game suffering because of it. I'm impressed how the UW devs have managed to avoid this by interacting with the players while maintaining a level of detachment.
