A Helping Hand

The idea is simple, I suggest that a gameplay element be added whereby a marine who is above another player can lift that player up onto a higher platform.

Like the cooperative game play in Splinter Cell?

That would be fun and I always enjoy lending a helping hand, welder, medpack, ammo, etc - so I would definitely be game for more team work.

I'm sure this idea has been mentioned before, just not sure if it had its own thread then. Local, the Master Link, might have some knowledge of how to wield the Search Sword better than I because short of manually searching I'm not sure where I remember seeing it at before.

Funny Canadian <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" /> . I don't remember this topic ever being discussed before so you're going to have to find the thread. It's a cool idea regardless. To expand upon it, ally-oop marines onto your shoulders to look in vents. It happens often enough now, might as well make it look cool.

doesn't fit the arcade movement style of ns imo, jumping on someone's head is the way to go

i think its looks very strange a marine to see who stand in a other marine`s face

i like this idea whit the helping hand. that would add teamplay

    that would be great

"JPer fly up in a vent and help vanilla guys to follow"

<span style='color:#000000;background:#000000'>(that was a good replacement in normal servers for super-lift)</span>

    Fixed. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/marine.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::marine::" border="0" alt="marine.gif" />

i think jumping ontop of someones head is fine - maybe there could be a quick animation for it however.

I also like the idea of being able to pick up a med pack or ammo pack and throw it to a team mate <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

That'd be nice, and I'm not suggesting the removal of boosting, but there was a situation which spawned this idea:

I had just requested a GL (which was dropped) and phased and bhopped into the box in mother interface on nancy, only to find that some genius had welded the thing shut. On top of that, someone (else?) was sitting in the vent behind me. I managed to get up by being boosted, but the other guy was stuck down in the box, literally 2 feet below me, but because of engine quirks I had no way to get him out without requesting an armory in the box (or maybe a CC i dont remember which one fits).

That's a situation where I'd like to be able to fire off a "Grab on!" emote and offer a helping hand.

that whit the head-stand is a little fruttating for that guy who help you to come up
i will be a gentleman and help him too
    again that would improve teamplay

im 100% for the "helping hand"
