Yes, Stage6 does require you to install an DivX ActiveX control, but then YouTube and Revver require you to have FlashPlayer installed. IMHO, it's worth it for the quality of video that you get.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Yeah, but everyone who doesn't live under a rock has Flash already.

I'm starting to think this is all a trick to start speculating on what it could be in that picture... after a day of refreshing the page at small intervals I'm starting to believe that something is dodgey!

    This videocast isn't going to take another half of a year, is it? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

I think the concept art is cool, but I'm not sure it fits the style of the Kharaa. I'm definetly interested to hear what they have in store for it.

yeah i guess it kinda looks like an eye, but to me it more looks like a transparent wall that lets you view the insides. it sort of looks like you can see those little flying worm things floating around inside, making it glow. that makes a lot more sense to me than a big eye....

Yeah, I thought the same thing, because one of those glowy things seems to fly straight out of it.
There is definately some reflection though.

i think its flying in front of it, rather than straight out of it. it would make more sense for them to come out of that big slime dripping "egg laying" thing.
and yes, you can clearly see the reflection of the two marines at the bottom of the "eye".

hehe yeah, i seriously doubt it would take revver this long to encode the video, it leads me to the conclusion that the dev's are building a bit of hype before they show the videocast... which in turn makes me think there's going to be a lot of amazing stuff in it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

    Video's up:

    P.S.

The glowies look and sound pretty awesome. Very organic and I imagine they'd add a lot to the atmosphere. I'm not sure how alien spawning would work in a way that would prevent spawncamping being fifty times worse though. The marines would merely have to mop up any egg laying around to prevent any aliens spawning. Obviously killing an uninhabited egg wouldn't yield any points, but having a number of fixed, visible locations from which an alien could spawn would be a lot easier than having to deal with aliens popping out of invisible spawn points to chew on their goolies, as in NS1.
